Dr. Rachel Waltman has practiced medicine at Kenwood Veterinary Hospital since June 2007. Dr. Waltman completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and went on to attend the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Waltman completed internships at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services, the National Institute of Health and the Smithsonian National Zoological Park. She also previously worked as an equine theriogenologist assistant.

In her free time, Dr. Waltman shows her horse, Pearl, in national and regional competitions. She also shares her home with Laney, a Weimeraner, and Marley, a cat.
