Moe, the Hospital Cat

Moe joined the Kenwood Team in September of 2006 when his owner passed. He's a lively spirit who is happy to snuggle up and fall asleep on you (especially if you're sitting in a sunny spot in our lobby), or simply taunt your canine companion. Moe loves dogs and cats alike, and rarely realizes that the feeling is anything other than mutual.

Moe is deaf, and suffers from skin allergies for which he receives regular injections. He thanks us for our loving care by urinating around the hospital from time to time (after all, Kenwood is "his"). To his chagrin, we installed an Invisible Fence system*, and outfitted him with a collar in order to curb his oblivious amblings out into the busy traffic along our road.

Moe's favorite pastimes include sleeping, eating, and sleeping. He has a finely honed repertoire of begging techniques, and utilizes them with a shameful lack of humility.

Moe has become "famous" for his rotation of costumes, which range from t-shirts to costumes (lobster, prisoner, skunk) to seasonal favorites.

Please feel free to worship him as he slumbers at the front desk and around and about our hospital lobby. Like any proper feline, Moe appreciates your expected adoration.

*If you have a pet who wears an Invisible Fence collar, please note that ours is a dual channel system and we set it to the second channel in order to minimize unpleasant disruptions to other pets who may be coming or going from the clinic, the majority of whom generally set their collars to the first channel (or the only channel on single channel units).
